I came to Maine for what I thought would be a year to indulge a passion for sailing and yacht design. That was almost 24 years ago and here I am still. Coming from Vermont, as I do, that is saying something about the quality of life I found here in Midcoast Maine. My family and I feel very fortunate to be living here. As avid sailors, gardeners and "old house people" we very quickly came to value and respect the special qualities, opportunities, and challenges that life in the Mid-coast has to offer.

After graduating from Middlebury College with an art degree, I spent eight years working in alternative education with troubled high school students in Vermont. While taking a break from that, I  discovered that I love to sail. And I decided that no matter what else transpired the opportunity to be on the water had to be a part of my life. Maine fits the bill beautifully in this regard. I came to real estate after a long career in custom residential design and project management. I joined RE/MAX Riverside because of the high standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct that I found here. I'm detail oriented, practical and thorough and always try to maintain a sense of humor abouts the twists and turns that life serves up. I believe that my education, experience and interests make me a unique and invaluable resource for people looking to buy or sell a home.

 

I am a 12 year resident of Topsham where I live in an old Greek Revival house in the Historic District with my wife, Daria, daughters, Emma and Samantha, and Osage, the DOG. The DOG and the house both continue to be works in progress. When time permits and I am not on the water, in the garden, or trying to finish the house, I like to read American History and listen to music. I have served on the Building Committee for Topsham Public Library and am currently a part of Topsham's Main Street Committee. I believe in giving back and donate a portion of all my earnings to the Children's Miracle Network and to Heifer International.
